LITERATURE

Indie Craft by Jo Waterhouse

The Complete Pattern Library

This is a book plus CD package, containing 100 patterns (copyright-free) for use by all craftspeople. The patterns are divided into various categories: geometric, small-scale repeats, florals etc. and each comes with a note of its origins and three colourways, resulting in an invaluable resource for everything from textiles to stencilling, stained glass and websites. The CD is suitable for both CDs and Macs and a wide variety of software packages.

Botany for the Artist

Great resource for understanding and drawing the structure of plants.

Taking a Line for a WriteI never got to read this before my Alfonse Mucha project, but will do, bit pricey at the mo on Amazon, a useful book, going in my wish list!

The Book Binding Handbook
It's self explanatory and the link is for the UK addition re any supplies.

The New Creative Artist The book is full of information, perhaps a little too much on each densely illustrated page, but for those wishing to extend their creativity, then this book comes definitely recommended.
